Yes, MudBuddy requires an account to track your pieces and provide personalised guidance. Your data is stored securely in the cloud so you can access it from any device. Creating an account is free and takes just a minute.
What devices does MudBuddy work on?
MudBuddy is available on iOS (iPhone) and as a web app that works on any modern browser. Android app is coming soon. Your data syncs automatically across all your devices.

Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use trusted providers like Supabase for storage and OpenAI for AI features. We never sell your data to third parties. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I export my data?
Absolutely. Your data belongs to you. You can export your studio records at any time, and you always have access to your information regardless of subscription status.
Do I need an internet connection?
You need an internet connection to sync your data and use the AI assistant. However, you can view your existing pieces and notes offline. Any changes you make offline will sync when you're back online.
How accurate is the AI assistant?
The AI assistant provides general pottery guidance based on common practices and knowledge. While it's a helpful resource, always test recommendations on small pieces first and use your own judgement. It's designed to complement your expertise, not replace it.
