At a Community Studio

Your studio uses MudBuddy to manage firings. This is the full experience — submit pieces, pay for firings, and get notified when they're ready to collect.

This video walks you through everything: creating your account, adding your pieces, submitting them to fire at your studio, paying for your firing, and tracking your piece as it moves through the kiln so you know exactly when it's ready to collect.

At Home

You have your own kiln and handle firings yourself. MudBuddy gives you the same kiln management tools a studio would use — load your kiln, pick a firing schedule, fire, and unload. Your pieces advance through each stage automatically.

Add your kilns and firing schedules, then track pieces from wet clay through to finished work. When you load a kiln and fire it, MudBuddy moves your pieces through each stage for you. Add photos, notes, and glaze details as you go to build a complete record of your work.

At a Studio Without MudBuddy

You make your work at a community studio, but that studio doesn't use MudBuddy yet. No problem — you can still track all your pieces yourself.

The experience is similar to tracking at home — you move pieces through stages manually and log everything yourself. The main difference is you won't have the studio submission flow (submitting to fire, paying through the app, or getting kiln notifications). Think of it as a personal pottery journal that travels with you to the studio.
